Installation and first run

Problem	Resolution
Nothing runs after installing	Open the Prerequisites step. Python 3.12 and Claude Code install separately from the bundle
Python will not install	The download needs access to `github.com`. On a managed machine, raise it with IT
Claude Code will not sign in	The account must be on a paid plan — Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. The free plan does not include Claude Code
Windows shows a SmartScreen warning	Confirm the publisher reads Intellect Design Arena Limited, then choose More info → Run anyway
A prerequisite check fails	Each row carries its own fix. Apply it and re-run the checks; the Welcome journey does not need restarting

Access and launcher issues

Problem	Resolution
Every tile is locked	Workspace setup has not finished. A workspace administrator completes it
SOCK is missing or dimmed	Use the desktop application; SOCK does not run on the web
SOCI Cockpit is missing	Use the desktop application and confirm the workspace feature is enabled
I cannot find Download MSOCK	It is at the bottom of the launcher, on the web only
A feature stays unavailable after being enabled	Check the enterprise ceiling, your role, the surface, and the deployment

SOCK issues

Problem	Resolution
Write controls are greyed out	Read the reason. Checking your access… is a pending lookup, could not check your access is a failed one, and only Requires SOCK Creator or SOCK Knowledge Custodian role is about your permissions
The wrong sources were locked	Create a new harness. A locked source list is permanent
Database capture was refused	Check the floors: PostgreSQL 15+, MongoDB 7+, Oracle 19+
A database driver is missing	The connector reports what to install on this machine
A run appears stuck	Allow Finishing… to settle. Use the stage's resume action if processing genuinely stopped
The harness says Needs your answer	The run escalated a question. Answer it to let the run continue
The harness says Not verified	Every stage ran but the chain never verified. It is still navigable; re-run the stage that did not seal
The Graph node will not open	It opens after Synthesize completes
Review shows no CKU	CKU is computed from the committed graph. Build the graph first
Ask cannot answer	Confirm the question is inside the locked evidence boundary; an honest Known Unknown is a valid answer
Release is unavailable	The harness must read Completed and verified
Withdraw is unavailable	The version has been published to your team and cannot be withdrawn from your machine

SOCI Cockpit issues

Problem	Resolution
`/ws-` commands do not exist	The workspace organ pack has not arrived on this machine yet. It is not a broken feature
The grounding selection will not change	Close the open session first; a running conversation cannot be moved onto a different corpus
Grounding says it cannot be checked	MSOCK could not place this machine on a knowledge line. Reconnect and retry; if it persists, ask your administrator
Codex is not in the model picker	Claude Code is the only shipped runtime today
The converged chat is not available	It is a limited-availability feature, off by default, and may be narrowed at enterprise or workspace scope

SOCM Command Center issues

Problem	Resolution
Jira will not connect	Confirm your own Jira credential and that the workspace has the integration enabled
Jira refuses to refresh	The 30-second debounce is still in effect
Where do I write a PRD?	Use `/ws-ideate` in SOCI Cockpit; Command Center displays the resulting artefact
A destination is not in the sidebar	Only destinations shown in the current navigation are part of the supported experience
A gate was rejected	Read the required rejection reason, revise, and resubmit

Administration issues

Problem	Resolution
A new member cannot sign in	Check routed domain and the exact address you used
The enterprise is Pending SSO	Add the generated redirect URI, confirm the login domain, then verify
A workspace cannot enable a capability	The enterprise may have disabled it; a workspace can only narrow
Workspace setup will not start	It needs the desktop application, workspace admin access, and a signed-in Claude Code
Usage Telemetry is not visible	It must be enabled for the enterprise and requires a tenant identity

The in-product Report a bug control is off by default per enterprise and must be enabled by an administrator. Before submitting screenshots or diagnostics, follow your organisation's privacy and data-classification policy. Screenshots are limited to 5 MB and diagnostic bundles to 50 MB.

Report incorrect documentation

If you find content that appears incorrect, incomplete, ambiguous, or out of date, send a correction through your support channel or the in-app Report a bug flow.

Include the documentation page URL and section heading.
Quote the statement that appears incorrect.
Describe the behaviour you observed and the correction you propose.
Name the product surface, operating system, role, and release context when relevant.
Attach a screenshot only after removing credentials, secrets, customer data, and other sensitive information.
