Create a work item

   Open the target board

   Confirm the project and the work-item view.

   Choose Epic or Story

   Select the type that matches the planning scope.

   Enter details

   Provide the fields exposed by your current release and project configuration.

   Save and verify

   Confirm the item’s lifecycle stage, ownership, and initial gate state.

Approve or reject a gate

   Open the review

   Use the review queue or open the gate from the work item.

2. 02

   Inspect evidence

   Review all required artefacts, comments, and current work-item context.

3. 03

   Check your slot

   Confirm whether your decision is required or optional.

4. 04

   Decide

   Approve, or reject with a specific reason and expected remediation.

5. 05

   Verify status

   Confirm the gate and card indicators reflect the decision.

Connect Jira and view a ticket

1. 01

   Confirm server-side enablement

   Ask an administrator to verify that the Jira synchronisation flags are enabled.

2. 02

   Open the Jira tab

   Navigate from the relevant work item.

3. 03

   Connect your credential

   Authenticate with your own Jira account when prompted.

4. 04

   Select the ticket

   Link or display one Jira ticket at a time.

   Review read-only context

   Jira data flows one way into Genesis. Manual resynchronisation is limited to once every 30 seconds.

Switch board views

Observe or roll back a distribution

Distribution publication steps currently run outside the application. Maintainers and administrators can use the UI to observe publication state and initiate rollback where available. Do not describe the current UI as a complete author-and-publish workflow.
